What We Collect
SiteScan collects minimal data to provide the service:
- Scan data: URLs you submit and the publicly available information retrieved from those websites.
- Email address: Only when you voluntarily provide it to receive a full report PDF.
- Analytics events: Anonymous interaction data (page views, report views, time spent) to improve the product. No personal identifiers are stored.
Cookies
SiteScan uses a single, essential cookie:
| Cookie | Purpose | Duration | Type |
|---|---|---|---|

| insights_auth | Authentication for the internal insights dashboard. Only set for admin users. | Session | Essential |
We do not use any third-party tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or cross-site tracking. No data is shared with third-party analytics providers.

Data Storage & Security
All data is stored on secure European servers. IP addresses are hashed before storage — we cannot identify individual users. Scan results are retained to provide history features. You can request deletion of your data by contacting us.
Third-Party Services
SiteScan uses AI services (Anthropic Claude) to generate analysis and recommendations. Website data sent for analysis is processed according to Anthropic's data handling policies and is not used for model training.
